| Special features | A particularly interesting part of the “Überleiter 6” canal link is a localised combination of a bridge, lock and fish ladder. A challenging feature of this combination was the construction of the hollow box bridge deck. Although the project management originally assumed that many special formwork elements would be necessary because of the walls and the edge cantilevers, the NOE team managed to reduce the need for these types of individual solutions to minimum. |
